See ‘N Sign Mommy Delivers Twin DVDs

EUGENE, OR,
March 25, 2004 – Kronz Kidz Productions, a leading producer
of baby signing productions, announces today the release of their
newest arrivals: Baby See ‘N Sign Volumes I & II on
DVD.
Baby See ‘N Sign is the brain-child of Kathy (Kronz) Faber,
a stay-at-home mother of four and former children’s educational
television and video producer. Baby See ‘N Sign Volume I
was the first signing video developed specifically for babies,
and includes words and images a baby can relate to. It was selected
as one of Parenting Magazine’s Best Videos of the Year 2002
(Feb. ’03 issue). Baby See ‘N Sign Volume II was released
in June 2003.
Baby See ‘N Sign is based on American Sign Language (ASL),
the most used and accepted form of sign language in the world.
The instructor, Johanna Larson, is an ASL instructor at the University
of Oregon. Larson is the hearing daughter of deaf parents and
the mother of two sons with whom she signed with when they were
young.
Signing helps to bridge the communication gap from approximately
6 months of age to 2 years. Frustrations are reduced because little
ones can get their needs across. Families can communicate on a
basic level and understand the most special people in their lives.
Baby See ‘N Sign Volume I begins with a brief open, then
rolls into a 3-minute introduction by Larson. The bulk of the
DVD is basic beginning signs that cover the first half of baby’s
day starting with a bath from Let’s Get Dressed, followed
by Food, Chow Time, Play Time, Animal Pals, Down on the Farm,
and Away We Go. Ninety signs unfold during the 45-minutes including
25 bonus signs accessed via the internet address flashed at the
end.
Baby See ‘N Sign Volume II is a continuation of VI and baby’s
day. 141 signs are taught in Familiar Faces & Places, Outdoors,
Zoo Friends, Party Time, My Body, Bath Time, Nighty-Night and
finally Manners, a bonus category that was heavily requested by
parents.
Baby See ‘N Sign also makes an excellent educational tool
for anyone learning English (ESL), foreign adoptions or for those
who just want to learn basic ASL. "So many groups are taking
advantage of the materials and using them in a variety of ways.
It’s very exciting to see the signing trend catching on
nationally and internationally as well." states Faber.
